Edgy

I'm more and more drawn to dressing in public. Not in a cross dressing trying to look like a woman kind of a way, although if I could pull that off it would be fun. No, in a wearing of female clothes in an androgynous kind of a way.

I've worn all kinds of Mary Janes with regular male and also female cut jeans.  I've worn capri length cropped jeans with female cut shirts. I've worn a jumper dress and heels with deliciously female kick flare jeans and nail polish whilst flying around the world.  And none of this with any attempt to actually look female in any way whatsoever.

As I've got older, I realise that I don't have long to be funky in my style. Once we males get to late middle age, anything cutting edge would almost certainly be creepy rather than edgy.

So, whilst I have all my hair and am still looking young, I figure I'll kinda go with it.

To that end, I just bought a couple of floor length denim skirts. One greenly grey and the others arm blue. Both in a kinda grungy non flared cut. Which I want to wear in public with my regular (or not so regular) male clothes.

Hell, I might even get some cool gladiator style sandals to show off my painted toenails (currently a deep purple metallic blue colour).

This pic was from when they were painted metallic silver. Do these look like girls feet? Lol

Anyway, what are these skirts after all?  A load of denim that covers my legs to floor level. Much like jeans. Just not joined up in the middle. Big friggin deal.  I do wonder what people will think (even if I don't care)

Next time I fly, I'm going to wear one and looks and comments be dammed!

Watch out world, I hope you're ready.

Flying back..

So, my visit is all too short as usual, but at least it gives me chance to dress up again.

Same clothes as before, pale blue green jumper dress that comes to mid thigh, blue Tshirt with 'I kissed a girl and I liked it' writes on the front, skinny kick flare jeans (these make the outfit so terribly femme) - 3 inch heel brown boots with pink striped socks. Awesome.

I also painted my nails. Not too much of a sight then!

Just a little bit of fun! I wonder what people think - no one has really batted an eyelid so far. I've had a few stares, but people don't seem too bothered.

I did overhear a customs officer talking to one of his colleagues (with a very subtle backwards glance) - he obviously felt something during his pat down - that would be mu underwear then. Floozie by Frost French - look it up ;)

Anyway, I'm almost home now, time to change, sort my shit out as they say. Might just be time for one quick adventure in the cat park though - what do you think - pay for my parking in denim dungaree shorts with pink Doc Martens,

So as I was saying..

Flying dressed as a girl is an interesting experience. Especially as I don't look like one at all. No attempt made, obviously a bloke.  I even have a beard.

People aren't sure what to make of it, they give furtive glances or ignore you completely (or maybe are too absorbed in their own world to care? That's possible).

I was wearing a pastel jumper dress, really femme skinny flare jeans and heeled boots and nobody said a word. I do believe it would be possible to fly in a ball dress and opera gloves and you'd only get a few odd looks.

The moral of this tale is as follows.

If you want to wear something in public, just do it. Especially if you're young, nobody will give too hoots. Want to wear a skirt - just go for it. Heels? Sure, combine with a sharp suit and some makeup and you'll have the whole androgynous look going.  I suspect most people will be positive in their reaction.

I wore nail polish out the other day. Normal clothes, nothing fancy, nails done. Nobody cares.

So there ya go. I'm going to try to get some more shots of myself over the next week or so wearing this outfit out and about. Stay tuned!!

Flying again..

This time in 100% obvious girls clothes.

We have some gorgeous high heeled ankle boots, skinny kick flare jeans (you have no idea how obviously femme these are until you wear them with heels!) a pale pastel jumper dress (that goes to mid thigh) and a pale blue camisole top underneath.   Eep.

I'm getting a ton of funny looks but I don't really care!  The airline security checkpoint was the funniest - they asked me to remove my boots and the female operators eyes almost popped out of her head!  Wish I'd though of a witty comeback

I have a little video too, but really must get more before its too close to boarding time on my next flight.  Be entertaining if they ask me to remove my 'jumper' given I'm wearing it just like a girl would.

Next up, more crazy arsed dressing up in public.

Been a while!

I've neglected this blog a little recently, not really sure why - I guess a recent lack of shoe wearing opportunity has a bit to do with it.

Anyway, I've still been wearing my Mary Janes as much as I can - here's some pics to prove it!!

For example, travelling cross country by plane - burgundy Mary Janes with pink socks

At work - wonens flared jeans and the burgundy docs

Shopping in my burgundy double t Mary Janes

Black Mary Janes at work

Peeking out on the train

And some new shoes - 3inch hidden wedge high top trainers - wearing these at work now - you can't really see the height, but basically it's like I'm wearing a pair of secret high heels!

Anyway - next up, I'll tell you the story of going to the other side of the country in Mary Janes, women's jeans and women's top :-)

New Docs

Man, I've been slack - so busy with 'normal' life that I've not had time to blog :(

Anyway, so, whats new - I have a couple of pairs of new Docs!

First up - a lovely pair of rub off cherry red t-bars.  I adore these and love to wear them all the time no matter what company I'm in.  They are quite androgynous I think, but definitely not male. They have quite a high heel too, which makes things interesting ;)

Hope you like the school socks too :)

Next up I managed to find some quite unusual Docs - a twin ankle strap brogue school-esque style of mary jane.  I love these too, but as yet, haven't worn them outside.  I know, I'm a chicken.  It's only a matter of time though.

Again, here they are with school socks!  I really need to get hold of a proper Catholic school girl uniform now!

I've also developed a bit of fondness for women's jeans, particularly the cropped capri style ones you've already seen me wearing, but now also skinny flare jeans.  These have a very uniquely feminine silhouette
with skin tight butt and thighs, flaring out at the knee like an exaggerated boot-cut to a wide flare.  Often the back pockets are decorated with bling in a very feminine way.  Awesome.

I now have a couple of pairs that I love to wear with the cherry red t-bars as they high heel means the bottom of the flare is off the ground and the shoes are a bit more visible.  What I really need is a pair of towering heels, but thats an adventure I need to work up to!!

Thats all for now - hope you've enjoyed my journeys this year - may next year have a lot more!!

Long time gone

Wow, its been a while since I posted anything!  I am such a bad blogger!

So, whats been going on?  Everyone having fun?

My trip around the world wasn't quite as daring as it might have been, but I did get up to some mischief (of course) - what kind of trip would it be without some mischief!

I bought a really cool tshirt - the lady at the car hire place noticed it right away and complimented me.  She also noticed the shoes!  Lets face it, you could hardly miss them!

On the way home I decided to push the boat out a little more (if thats possible) and wear my capri length skinny jeans and baby pink patent doc marten boots. I got a lot of puzzled looks!

Anyway, in my absence, I've not been idle - oh no! - I now have 2 new pairs of Mary Janes - I'll be introducing them on here soon :)
